what is it and why does my dog need one?
At Camp, play and social time are at the heart of what we do, and every new pup starts with a half-day assessment before joining the fun. This gentle introduction helps us make sure your dog feels happy, safe, and ready for our lively free-play environment. It also ensures your pup is a great fit for Camp and helps us maintain a safe, positive experience for all our Campers.
During the assessment, our team spends the morning getting to know your pup, helping them settle in, and introducing them to a few friendly Campers we think they’ll click with. We ease them in at their pace, watching for tail wags, confidence, and comfort as we work toward placing them in the playgroup that suits them best. We’re also checking their social manners, separation comfort, listening skills, and level of enjoyment to make sure Camp is a great match.
Our setup is all about free play, friends, and fun, not like traditional kennels. That means we’re the best match for dogs who enjoy regular daycare or stay with us fairly often, rather than for occasional daycare or one-off sleepovers.
